Air Relax FAQ

What is Air Relax Recovery?

Air Relax is a dynamic air compression device with multiple chambers that compress in succession. The Air Relax system increases blood flow through your muscles, which has been shown to aid with sports and other recovery, similar to the effects of a professional massage. There are leg recovery boots, hip/lower back shorts and an arm sleeve. The Air Relax Recovery system gets you recovered faster, helps you warm up pre-workout, and recover smart post training and competition.

How Does Air Relax work?

Compression massage therapy will increase circulation and will flush lactic acid from the treatment area after a tough workout or standing for long periods.

After fitting both legs into the leg sleeves, putting the hips on like a pair of shorts, or sliding one arm into the arm sleeve,  just sit or lay on a flat surface of a bed, floor or couch and let the air relax system do the work. The sleeves have hoses that connect to the air compressor. Once the compressor is turned on, the air chambers in each sleeve fill up with air in the sequence you choose, gradually compressing each muscle group in the legs and feet and then repeating. You may choose the compression sequence you like the most.

What are the benefits of Air Relax Compression Therapy?

Reduce injury risk and fatigue:

Intermittent pneumatic compression removes waste products and helps reduce injury risk and delayed onset muscle soreness.

How often can I use Air Relax Compression?

The Air Relax Recovery System is  safe to use up to 3 times a day, including before and after training sessions. For medical applications, consult your doctor on treatment protocols best suited for your medical needs.

What is the recommended use time?

15 minutes per treatment area is the recommended usage time. There is an automatic 15 minute timer that starts when the pump is turned on.

How much pressure should I use?

There are 4 pressure settings for the Air Relax System. The amount of pressure that you use is up to your personal preference. Even a relatively low pressure setting will still provide some benefit. The highest power setting is very strong. No matter what your pressure preference, the compression in the sleeves should never hurt or be uncomfortable. If it is, decrease the pressure. Always start at a lower setting and increase the pressure slowly after a few cycles.
